Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Unfortunately this may be my last entry. I have been banned from visiting Hannah. I have a few more avenues to explore, but they don't look promising and most importantly will not be cleared for the crucial visits around the Christmas Holiday. I offered to serve Hannah and the ladies of the her Bible study by sending them Christmas cards and small gifts, not knowing I was ultimately falling into a well laid trap. Unbeknownst to me and Hannah it was against the rules for me to submit mail to fellow inmates on her behalf. Without warning they called and told my husband and I we can not see her again and can not write her. I called to speak with the Warden, but they didn't listen and we sure we were doing something wrong on purpose. They have threatened Hannah with "repercussions" and I pleaded for them to realize it was my offer, not her asking.

HANNAH'S THANKSGIVING
The Lord put it on Hannah's heart to have a special Thanksgiving with the ladies in her Bible Study. She had them draw a name and select scriptures for one another. Then they played some Bible Trivia games, and Hannah sang a song. They got special permission from the guards to stand and pray (they always have to be seated or laying down in the dorm). They stood and prayed together and this caught the attention of all the other inmates in the dorm. As a result 3 new ladies will be joining the Bible study.

2 Peter 2:9
ยท if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment,....
WOW! God is really doing amazing things.......there are so many opportunities to give God Glory and Praise through all this tragedy. I hope and pray this is my last blog. I pray God moves once again and Hannah is freed after Her arguments this week! All prisons were on a statewide lockdown and search after some cell phones were found in a Houston prison. This means inmates are confined to their beds and can only get up to use the bathroom and shower, when allowed. So, for 10 days Hannah was on her bed, and they brought the sacks lunches of peanut butter and jelly for every meal. Sometimes they would get a hard boiled egg or a pice of bologna. She never complained about it to me. Also, they do not have AC, and i have never heard her complain. She is a true soldier of the Lord! The AC was out in the visitors area yesterday, I guess it was broken, and already it was stinky.

Hannah and I had such a fun time today. I think we were laughing more than any other visitors. Yesterday all the kids and Larry and Noreen. As always it is kind of a crazy 2 hrs, with 5 kids, 2 adults, and 2 phones, with Hannah on the otherside of a glass. We believe God to be doing some mighty things in there with his "under cover agent" against the powers of darkness. Prayers are coveted, ask God to move BIG mountains in the hearts of the women. It amazes me how many people it takes to do the job of one mom. And even if all the tasks are executed to a certain extent, still the relational needs of wife, mother, daughter, friend and sister are left wanting.
Colosians 4:2-4

Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.

|
Don't forget to pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to preach about his secret plan-that Christ is also for you Gentiles. That is why I am here in chains
|
|
Pray that I will proclaim this message as clearly as I should.

I know it has been a while since an update, but it has been a while since I have seen Hannah. The weekend of our scheduled visit was cancelled due to hurricane IKE. Larry drove to Gatesville, only to turn and drive back. Also, due to IKE, Hannah's oral arguments were postponed, and as of yet have not been rescheduled. We trust and know God has a plan! Diversions, delays, and disappointments; though not enjoyable, are always profitable in God's economy. We wait expectantly with hope! Hannah is doing well and has had some media interviews in the past week. She is so respectful and submissive to the guards, and it must really stand out against the bad attitudes of others. She will be starting a new study with 7 women in her dorm. Also, the Bill Glass prison ministry came to her dorm this month and was able to minister to and encourage the women. I will be visiting again this Sunday....so until then, be steadfast and earnest in your prayers!
